Allocation is a digital audio piece that is influenced by the artist's experience in accessing health and housing services for their family. It incorporates digital synthesis techniques with an AI speech generation element and explores issues related to neoliberal economics and the allocation of resources. It asks the question “what sort of world don't we want, and how do we make sure we don't end up there”.
Andy Wilson is a musician, audio engineer, artist and developer based in Dublin, Ireland. His interests include experimental audio design and practice, digital audio programming and synthesis, coding/hacking and community building. He is a member of the A4 Sounds collective and regularly works collaboratively with other artists to help them realise audio aspects of their projects including sound recording, mixing, and mastering. He is currently working on an album project.
